I've been a journalist for nearly 25 years and have worked as an editor in four newsrooms. I'm still growing and learning in my career. I also teach and mentor younger journalists.

Deputy Editor for Digital Storytelling and Training

Coach members on our team how to roll out new storytelling tools and formats in the newsroom as well as how to host skills workshops in the newsroom to help Times journalists advance their reporting, writing, editing and A.I. for research skills. I started on the copy desk at The Times in Sports and then in Metro.

Taught courses in multimedia storytelling, visual journalism and survey research in the College of Journalism and Communications. Chaired and served on graduate students' thesis and dissertation committees. Advised undergraduate students on their final capstone projects.

Associate Producer for Interactives

Built multimedia interactives, which included shooting and producing audio soundslides, photo galleries and video stories, as well as interactive quizzes and explainers.
